Seattle Sounders Coach Praises Alex

Seattle Sounders coach Brian Schmetzer said that he is happy with his new player Alex Roldan first game. He said that this is the only positive that he could find in a game that his team lost 3-0 against FC Dallas. Seattle Sounders played with 10 men in this game after veteran striker Clint Dempsey was sent off and was missing several players because of injuries.

Brian Schmetzer said that the only positive that he could find in this game was Alex Roldan debut. He said that the youngster did everything that was expected of him and showed his potential during the game. Alex Roldan said that it is always hard to make your entry into a game when your team is losing but he is happy that he has been able to contribute. He said that he followed his coach’s instructions and did everything he can to help the team.

Brian Schmetzer said that he is happy with what he has seen in Alex’s first game. He said that he was good in the middle of the pitch and that he was ready to bring the danger in the opposition half. He said that it is now for the player to confirm his good form in the next game and make sure he earns his place in the team.

Brian Schmetzer said that it was a disappointing game especially with the fact that they were missing so many players. He said that things should improve for the next game as they will be having players coming back from injuries and he is sure that the results will follow. He said that they will be working harder on the offensive aspect of the game as he feels that they have not created a lot of opportunities in recent games.
