The tactics provided by coach Gregg Berhalter once again was thrown off the books after Columbus Crew went behind in a game once again.
The club are largely seen in the mid-table due to their inability to shut down the opposition early on. Even though the team was able to pick up some momentum after this disappointment, they were unable to get back even with almost 80 minutes of game time.
The damage had already been done because of the poor start andBerhalter says that this is something that the team needs to address immediately. There is a danger for Columbus Crew the teams like New England Revolution and even Philadelphia Union will be able to capitalise on this poor form. A run of just two wins in the last five matches mean that there are four teams separated by just goal difference in the Eastern conference.
