MLS football giants Sporting Kansas City have announced the signing of Kendall McIntosh for the 2022 season with the option of the 2023 season. The MLS football team announced that they have re-signed McIntosh on Tuesday.
California native McIntosh has six years of professional experience in MLS football and USL Championship football. The goalkeeper was at Portland Timbers for four seasons from 2016 to 2019 before spending the 2020 season with the New York Red Bulls.
McIntosh was part of the Portland Timbers II squad for the USL Championship in 2016 as a rookie. He went on to sign for Portland Timbers at the start of 2017 though most of his time at the club was spent on loan at Timbers II where he had ten clean sheets in 60 USL Championship games. His only game for Timbers came in the US Open Cup round of 32 clash with San Jose Earthquakes three years ago as he helped his team to secure a place in the quarterfinals thanks in part to his clean sheet in a 2-0 win.
