McIntosh, 27, signed for Sporting Kansas City in MLS football at the start of this year on the back of the Stage 1 of the 2020 MLS Re-entry Process in December 2019. He featured for Sporting Kansas City II primarily in his first season at the club earning three clean sheets and 37 saves in 13 games as far as the USL Championship is concerned. Some of his best performances for Sporting KC II in the 2021 season include a four-save outing during the goalless draw with OKC Energy FC on July 24, a slender 1-0 win over Atlanta United II on July 10 and a convincing 3-0 win over OKC at Children’s Mercy Park on September 24. Also, McIntosh featured in the Sporting Kansas City squad over the course of the 2021 MLS season.

California native McIntosh has six years of professional experience in MLS football and USL Championship football. The goalkeeper was at Portland Timbers for four seasons from 2016 to  2019 before spending the 2020 season with the New York Red Bulls.

McIntosh was part of the Portland Timbers II squad for the USL Championship in 2016 as a rookie. He went on to sign for Portland Timbers at the start of 2017 though most of his time at the club was spent on loan at Timbers II where he had ten clean sheets in 60 USL Championship games. His only game for Timbers came in the US Open Cup round of 32 clash with San Jose Earthquakes three years ago as he helped his team to secure a place in the quarterfinals thanks in part to his clean sheet in a 2-0 win.
